How to make desks.
I have chosen to put this blog up because it may persuade some people to build their own tables with the instructions. In our class we have been learning about instructions. We wrote instructions for how to make a table. We all had to write the instructions for what we did on that week. I enjoyed sanding and filing. Filing was the complicated thing I found hard, but I overcame it by working together with my buddy and trying to get it done.
HOPE YOU ENJOY WATCHING THE SLIDE.

Simple shortcuts
We have been learning about instructions and what we would need to put in our instructions. I enjoyed working with my buddy and participating on our work. What I found complicated was how we had to remember all the shortcuts we have learnt. I overcame it by trying it out on the keyboard. I have chosen to put this work up because it may help you on your work and to get to places your Chromebook faster.

how to dress for cycling
Room 3 have been learning to ride bikes with the help of Bigfoot. I have enjoyed most of the skills we have learnt from the two leaders. What I found challenging was trying using the brakes because every time I pressed the brakes I'd always think I would fall down. But I overcame it by getting help from my buddy. I have chosen to put this post up because it shows how much we've learnt about biking.

Shared Lunch
Our task was to make a shared lunch with the ingredients that was bought with the New World voucher. I put this up to reveal our learning and how we enjoyed this special event. It was fun. We enjoyed making the food and consuming it after. The kumara was the difficult thing I found hard to do. I overcame it by swapping jobs with the boys or just leaving it for an adult to do.
Room 3’s shared Lunch
Room 3 were making food. It was for our shared lunch. We went to staff room to produce our food and then devour it.
As we go to the staff room we rapidly settled down to get prepared for our instructions to make the food. Our teacher chose several students to make a dish with a group, while some made smoothies. It was very messy and crowded. I pondered and thought that the room was a concert full of random people carefully gazing at us cooking. It made me feel like a real professional chef. Our dish and drink had to be healthy, because it was a healthy shared lunch.
Because we were so busy making food,We were so concentrated. It was like producing food was learning and working in class. My job was to cut and peel kumara chips. It was really cool and complicated. Cutting the kumara was the difficult thing to do, because it was firm and thick.
At the end of our cooking we set up the table and heard a prayer from Annie. Then it was time for us to eat one of the edible food. The one thing I was really going for was the pineapple and cheese on the stick. It looked really yum so I just went for it.
After one of the most delicious feast I've ever had, we all cleaned up and got prepared to go back to class.
I felt happy, excited and sad at the same time because the food was yum and my thumb was throbbing with hurtness as I got cut with the knife. “OUCH!!!”. It was a little cut so don't panic.
What went well was helping each other and a lot of co-operating with the members in my group.
What I found challenging was trying to slice the kumara in half. It was very difficult and tiring.
Breakfast
In room 3 our task was to persuade others and our entire school to go to breakfast club. I chose this to put up because I never knew that breakfast was so important but by the time I learnt more about it, I started eating breakfast every morning. I enjoyed writing about my ideas and working with my friends. I found using the voice typing complicated because it kept on typing the wrong word. I overcame it by editing it and fixing my mistakes. I checked with my 3 friends before checking my teacher.
Why is breakfast so important??
My name is Lucy and I am a student from Wesley Primary.I am writing to say that people should eat breakfast. It is healthy and very good for you and your body.
Why is breakfast so important??
My name is Lucy and I am a student from Wesley Primary.I am writing to say that people should eat breakfast. It is healthy and very good for you and your body.
Firstly people and children should eat breakfast because it helps you concentrate a lot on your work and learning instead of thinking about food and being hungry. Some children can lose their memory when they don’t have an early lunch.
Secondly breakfast is good because it really helps to not put on any more weight. If you don’t have anything to eat in the morning you will be so hungry you will eat heaps in the afternoon. You are putting more weight in your body. By the time you eat breakfast you wouldn’t be so hungry.
The last reason why breakfast is very important because it will give you less trips to the nurse. It is affecting your learning because you are absent from school just to go to the doctors with your sore stomach. It is wasting the nurses time trying to figure out the the problem in your stomach. But really you are just hungry.
In my opinion, I believe that is why breakfast is good for you.

What is a ...... star?
I chose to put this post up because it shows my learning and how I used metaphors and alliteration. We were making poems of our own and learning how to use metaphors. We compared it to other stuff that were similar to our thoughts. I enjoyed trying to build up some interesting vocab to make the poem sound amazing. What I found challenging was comparing the stars with other objects. But I combat it by thinking hard or just getting help from a friend.
What is a star?
The star is a light,
thrown in the sky.
It is a bouncy blue ball of fire,
sparkling with excitement to explode the plain sky.
The star is a spark,
Zooming across for wishes.
It is a cookie,
That has been shot from a cannon.
The star is a flower,
Grown with petals.
It is a silver lightning,
striking with anger.
The star is a campfire,
lit up with ferocious ashes.
It is the youngest sister,
glistening with brightness.
