I chose to put this post up because it shows my learning and how I used metaphors and alliteration. We were making poems of our own and learning how to use metaphors. We compared it to other stuff that were similar to our thoughts. I enjoyed trying to build up some interesting vocab to make the poem sound amazing. What I found challenging was comparing the stars with other objects. But I combat it by thinking hard or just getting help from a friend.
What is a star?
The star is a light,
thrown in the sky.
It is a bouncy blue ball of fire,
sparkling with excitement to explode the plain sky.
The star is a spark,
Zooming across for wishes.
It is a cookie,
That has been shot from a cannon.
The star is a flower,
Grown with petals.
It is a silver lightning,
striking with anger.
The star is a campfire,
lit up with ferocious ashes.
It is the youngest sister,
glistening with brightness.
